1. Who we are
3Dmages is a 3D printing and custom design workshop based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. “We” means 3Dmages; “you” means the person placing an order or using the site.
2. Orders and quotes
A quote becomes an order once you approve the firm price and pay the advance. Rough quotes are estimates; the firm price is confirmed by our workshop, usually within one business day, and is valid for 14 days. You can order without an account; creating one later with the same email links your earlier orders.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated. Print orders are typically split into a 40% advance and a 60% balance due before dispatch. We currently accept bank transfer; card payment is coming soon. Production starts once your advance is verified.
4. Custom design and ownership
For design-request work, you own the final delivered design once it is paid for in full. Until then, concepts and preview files remain ours, for review only. You confirm any model or reference you give us is yours to use.
5. The nature of 3D printing
3D printing has real limits. Small variations in dimension, finish, colour, and layer lines are normal and not defects. If your model has thin walls, unsupported overhangs, or non-manifold geometry, we may auto-repair it or pause to ask how to proceed.
6. Delivery and risk
We dispatch within the window shown on your order. Risk passes to you on delivery. Please check your order on arrival and report any problem through the order chat within the window shown.
7. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Cancel a print order free before production starts. Once printing begins, the advance covers work done. Shop items can be cancelled before they ship or returned after delivery using our label. If a print fails through our fault we examine the returned item and then fully refund or reprint at your choice. Faults from the customer’s own design aren’t covered. Refunds go by bank transfer, usually within 2–3 business days.
8. Acceptable use and your files
Do not ask us to print anything illegal, unsafe, or infringing. We may decline any job at our discretion. Files you upload are used only to quote and produce your order, and are never shared outside the workshop.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for how printed parts are used once delivered.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when you placed it. Material changes are noted on this page.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo.
